bio

A group of architects working and exploring through architectural fields since 2015.

We are interested in new ways of approaching our environments and contexts. We take into account the relationships that generate them, from the individual to society, and we focus on the understanding of architecture and urbanism as a piece of an interconnected puzzle.

Always working in-between fields, from urbanism to communication, from industrial design to art, from digital to pure analogic, we look for ways to expand our knowledge and understanding of our surroundings.

GOLDEN HOUSE

COMPLETE REFURBISHMENT OF AN APARTMENT IN MADRID, 2018

Arquitectos: ensalada works
Arquitecta a cargo: Marta Badiola
Interiorismo y fotografía: Lourdes Cabrera
Constructor: Andrei

Borja returns from Mexico, buys a house and Raquel moves in with him. The intervention consisted in stripping the house, leaving the load-bearing walls as the only structuring and articulating elements of the house, which are then dressed in color, giving depth to the visual connections transversal to the different spaces while acquiring differentiated sensory qualities.

The bathroom works as a piece whose circulation and uses are accessible from the inside or outside of it, allowing to expand its spatial limits and simultaneous use in moments of concurrence.

Soon they will have children so the house has a plan B or project of evolution that allows the accompaniment and support of the vital changes of the couple, for that reason the distribution of the house and facilities are projected in such a way that to set up a new bedroom can be done quickly and easily in a single day. Other small modifications within the home will also increase the degree of independence of its spaces.
